  "note" : "<strong>Time Series</strong><p>This data product is a time series, as such, the <em>date_modeled</em> should be included in any tabulations performed on it. In addition, tabulations should be created using the sum of a measure rather than the count or percentage of records.</p>",
  "provenance" : "<p>This data product is created through cleaning and simple transformations applied to the Presidential State Toplines 2020 CSV provided by FiveThirtyEight through their github repository. This data is pulled daily.</p><strong>Data Curation and Transformation</strong><p>The following data curation and transformation steps have been performed on the source data file.</p><ul><li>Many variables have been renamed to be more descriptive and unified by topic.</li><li>The date_modeled variable has been reformatted to be an ISO 8601 date.</li><li>The model variable has been coded.</li><li>The state variable has been replaced with us_state_fips which has FIPS codes instead of state names.</li><li>There were several records whose states were congressional districts, these have been dropped.</li><li>The variables have be reorganized to have variables about the chance to win the Electoral College based on a state victory (and vice versa) grouped near the chances of state victory.</li><li>The variables have been reorganized to have the modelling and simulation variables together at the end of the record.</li></ul><p>For more in-depth information about the data curation process or how this data product&#39;s variables were mapped from the source file, please visit this data product&#39;s github repository.</p>",
